Sheila Crowned New ‘Limerick’ ChampionSheila Fitzpatrick O’Donnell, from Shanagolden, Co. Limerick, was crowned the new All Ireland ‘Limerick’ Champion Tuesday night at the Limerick Writers’ Centre sponsored event in Foley’s Bar, Sarsfield Street, Limerick.

Sheila, originally from Limerick City, secured the crown after a two round contest in which she overcame stiff opposition from runner up Tom McCarthy and Joe Healy.  She was presented with a plaque read more...

Revival-Literary-JournalRevival Literary Journal is calling for submissions from local, national and international poets and writers for the next issue (No.23) which will be published in Limerick, July 2012.

LIMERICK's exhibition of visual art, eva, will return this month after a two year lay-off.

Now styled as eva International, curator Annie Fletcher has selected over 100 artists from 2,000 applicants to participate in the exhibition, entitled After the Future.

While Limerick City Gallery of Art will be the central location for the exhibition, sections of it will be scattered across the city, including the Belltable, LSAD, the Milk Market and even the tenth floor of the city's... read more

A Gaelic version of Frank McCourt’s, Angela’s Ashes, is to be launched in New York.
The Irish language publication of the Pulitzer Prize winning memoir will be launched at the Irish Consulate, at 5:30-7:30p.m., on 15th November, as part of Imagine Ireland, Culture Ireland’s year of Irish arts in America.
