Last week John Fitzgerald and his team at Funireland performed a very unusual TeamBonding event in Limerick City with Brive Rugby Club from France.
The Club were visiting Limerick for a three day TeamBonding session to help in their assault on the French Championship and then onto the Heineken Cup. The Team were loaded with current Rugby stars from all corners of Europe, Ben Cohen, Andy Goode, Ben Johnson, Steve Thompson from England, Barry Davies from Wales, Fabrice Estabanez, Johnathan Pelisse and numerous other French Internationals, Davit Khinchagishvili from Georgia and players from Tonga, South Africa etc.
Funireland completed a Da Vinci Experience in Limerick City where the 55 strong group were put through their paces with John Fitzgerald's extremely popular TeamBonding Event that is taking Ireland by storm and is now being completed in 8 cities and towns in Ireland. The group started their challenge in Peter Clohesseys bar and then proceeded to explore the Historic, Cultural, religious and interesting sights of Limerick city in their Quest for the secrets and clues of Da Vinci as per the best selling book and movie. It was a very exciting 4 hours where they experienced Limerick City in a very different way, they were aided by French speaking guides and facilitators supplied by FunIreland.
The experience took in St Mary's Cathedral, The Hunt Museum, The Locke bar, Trinity Rooms at the Granary, The Hunt Museum, Nicholas Street, The Bishops Palace, The Masonic Centre, Walls of Limerick, various Cafes and Pubs, Internet Cafes etc. The Teams then met again for a debrief at Clohesseys and the winning team was announced amid major complaints that would pay tribute to the Sin Bin. John Fitzgerald also completed a brief lecture on effective TeamBuilding using Munster Rugby as the basis for the discussion which at times became very interesting if not heated.

The format of the event was applauded by the owners, organisers and the coaching staff of Brive and they said that it was a very successful event as their major goal for the start of the season is to bond the team and attempt to overcome the language and cultural differences with such a diverse panel of players. While they were in Limerick the club was based at the Castletroy Park Hotel and used The University of Limerick for physical training facilities.
After the success of this event it now looks like there is a major and unique opportunity to market/sell Limerick, Munster and Thomond Park as a potential long-term pre season venue for numerous other sporting and Rugby clubs in particular. John and his team are in the process of formulating a full TeamBonding package that will use the success of Limerick City and Munster and integrate this into promoting Limerick as a serious location for Teams to consider in their quest for improvement and Team Development.
John Fitzgerald and his Team at Funireland at their offices in Limerick, Galway and Dublin primarily service and support Corporate clients in their executive and fun TeamBuilding and Gala Event needs. Their TeamBuilding programs are very different to anything that is out there in the marketplace and they ca also design specifically based on the clients requirements, needs and goals.
