THE City Council is now planning to pedestrianise part of O'Connell Street following the success of Bedford Row and Thomas Street. This has been confirmed by Pat Dromey director of transport with Limerick Corporation.
He said plans are now underway for the pedestrianisation of O'Connell Street.

It will be from the junction at William Street as far as Roches Street.
This follows the recent pedestrianisation of Bedford Row and part of Thomas Street, which was completed on December 8.
The remainder of Thomas Street, along with Little Catherine Street, is due to be completed in early June.
