International TV channel, Fashion TV, is set to present its first ever Irish broadcast from Limerick’s Trinity Rooms on December 1, showcasing the city to a possible 300 million viewers.

The satellite station is the world’s biggest fashion TV channel and the move is being seen as a huge coup for the Limerick nightclub and the city.

The special Limerick programme will be seen by over 300 million viewers across 130 countries every day for two months.

"This is like the Ryder Cup of fashion coming to Ireland,” Trinity Room’s manager Joe Clarke enthused.

It is believed that local models such as Sohaila Lindheim, Michelle Meaney, Alannah Little and Bianca Hickey are expected to take to the catwalk for the planned broadcast.
