Picked for their excellence from a variety of Limerick's finest restaurants, a host of chefs will converge in the same kitchen for one night only.
The special "Hell's Kitchen" style occasion is the brainchild of Pat O'Sullivan, MD of Masterchefs Hospitality Munster, with the good intention of raising upwards of 100,000 euro for two special children's charities, The Bubblegum Club and CARI.
The proceeds will help terminally ill children and their medics.
The Saffron Ball is at the Hilton Hotel on Friday, November 2.
Costing 3,000 euro per table, it is expected to attract high fliers from the corporate scene.
Guests will enjoy canapes and cocktails before a six-course banquet, where each course is prepared by one of the Mid-West's leading restaurants-The Mustard Seed, Moll Darby's, the Marriott Hotel, the Hilton Hotel, the Clarion Hotel, Adare Manor and the Wild Geese.
Pat O'Sullivan, who is co-ordinating the culinary aspect, said that he "hand-picked Limerick's finest chefs based on their expertise and excellence."
Masterchefs Hospitality are famed for catering at the weddings of Marilyn Manson and Michael Flatley. Flatley has donated a costume from Lord Of The Dance for the auction and Castleconnell artist Barbara Hartigan, will donate a signed portrait of him.

A 3,000 euro piece of jewellery has been donated by Keane's Jewellers.
Master Chef, Richard Corrigan, said: "I am delighted to be involved, not only because it is going to raise much needed funds for two very deserving charities but also, it will showcase the fantastic local produce and fine cuisine available in the Mid West."
RTE's Grainne Seoige will MC, guest speaker Risteard Cooper will entertain and a 16-piece swing band will have guests dancing until late.
One of the beneficiaries, The Bubblegum Club, is a charity for children with life threatening illnesses. Its founder, Peter Harris, attended the launch and explained the charity's function: "We arrange special outings and holidays for children in hospitals throughout Ireland who are suffering with serious illnesses".
Since its inception in 1994, the Bubblegum Club has helped over 10,000 children.
The proceeds will help to take terminally ill children and their medics from hospitals throughout Ireland on a holiday of a lifetime skiing in Club Med in France, in March 2008.
The CARI Foundation's primary aim is to provide a professional, child centred therapy and counselling service to children, families and groups who have been affected by child sexual abuse.
Proceeds from will go directly towards developing their new child therapy house on the Ennis Road.
