Catalogue Bergère de France 2013 available in english at Lenas Sewing Limerick

Yarn lovers in Limerick are in for a double treat this season at Lenas Sewing & Knitting Centre with the arrival of the latest Bergère de France knitting wool range, while, also, for the first time, their famous catalogue is available in English.

The catalogue features 168 new designs for men, women, children, babies, and the home together with a wide range of craft kits and accessories, so you can see and touch them up close and personal.

“It’s a truly lovely object that I’m sure our customers are going to love flicking through it”, says Elaine O’Donovan, director of Lenas Sewing.

“We carry a huge variety of stylish knitting patterns and quality supplies at Lena’s and cater for a variety of skill levels”, explains Elaine.

“That is why we are excited to have the Bergère de France catalogue available in English”

In the new catalogue there’s  a total of 27 metres of yarn samples to inspire all the budding and seasoned knitters out there, plenty of information about various products and services, including a handy info chart inside the back cover.

Many more people are taking up knitting their own garments in recent years with the number of under 35’s taking up this craft increasing dramatically since 2005. This upward growth has placed knitting firmly into the top twenty most popular hobbies.

Even people like Pauline McLynn the Irish actress and comedian, who was best known for portraying the iconic character of Mrs Doyle in the hit TV show, has praised the therapeutic benefits of knitting in helping ease stress in her professional life.

“We  already stock a large range of Bergere de France  knitting patterns, however, it is impossible to carry everything”, says Elaine.

“So to offer the best service to our customers, Bergere de France have agreed to send us, on request , any exact  quantity of any of their yarns  needed to knit any pattern”.

Bergere de France was founded in 1946 and is one of Europe’s largest spinning mills. They initially started translating patterns for the English market early in 2005. With a incredible range of patterns for Ladies, Men, Babies and Children there is something for everyone and every occasion. Yarns include 100% wools, 100% cottons (including some organic), mohair and fashion yarns ranging in size from mega chunky to the thinnest of cottons.
