Students honoured at Kemmy Business School awards
Thirty eight of the University of Limerick’s most gifted business students, including many from the Limerick area, were honoured at the annual Kemmy Business School (KBS) awards ceremony.
Recipients from the region included Christopher Dean, Garryowen; Emily Earlie, Dooradoyle; Santizfakun Wisit, Cappamore; Stephen Prendereville, Abbeyfeale; Tara Flynn, Cratloe; Marie Gorey, Murroe; Tom Kennedy, Newcastle West; Rebecca Rocca, Newcastle West; Gerald Adams, Newmarket-on-Fergus and Andrew Clohessy, Birdhill.
The KBS, in partnership with the Bank of Scotland Ireland, recognises the outstanding scholars each year.
The outstanding scholars honoured are students from 24 different programmes in the school, including some interdisciplinary programmes offered with other faculties in the University of Limerick.
Commenting on the significance of the student achievements, the Dean of the Kemmy Business School, Professor Donal Dineen, pointed out that "with close to 3,000 students, we are honouring but a handful, albeit, an elite handful of those students who excelled in their respective academic programmes”.
