| On October 3rd 1691 the Treaty of Limerick was signed between the Williamites and the Jacobites forces following a long siege of the city. It was reputedly signed on a stone which became known as the Treaty Stone. This stone, which still stands, became and remains the symbol of the city itself. This round cold-cast bronze plaque mounted on timber stand depicts the Treaty Stone with the inscription: "Treaty Stone - Limerick. Upon this stone the Treaty of Limerick was signed AD1691". Designed and manufactured in Limerick City. | ||
