Iggy McGovern was born in Coleraine and lives in Dublin, where he is Associate Professor of Physics at Trinity College.

His poems have been published in journals in Ireland, Britain, Australia and the United States.

Selected work has appeared in anthology and in the "Poetry In Motion" series on DART trains.

He holds the McCrea Literary Award and the Hennessy Literary Award for Poetry and he was the winner of the RTE Rattlebag Poetry Slam in 2004.

His first collection, The King of Suburbia, was published by The Dedalus Press in 2005.

As usual the reading is preceded by an open mic session in which anyone who wishes to read is invited to do so. Complementary finger food is provided and proceeding commence at 9.00 pm.
